Dear Mom
Greetings from Camp Run-Amok!!!!! My counselors, Helen and Marc, say we have to write home or else!!! So here are my trials and tribulations so far…. I seem to only want to eat in the evening, unless I find an unguarded trash can, then cotton balls are the best, toilet paper tubes are a close second! We had an evening inter-camp get together the first night, and I met Alvin, Simon and Theo from 2 different nearby camps. Their names sound like some 60s chipmunk band, but that was not their intention! They are all kinda short, so they will just be my friends. I have spied the most handsome, tall, blond poodle across the water, so I want to learn to swim so I can go meet him. So far I have chased bunnies, squirrels, chipmunks (not like the ones in the 60s band) and a whole host of smells I can’t put a face on yet. I seem to be way too QUIET for Marc??? He says he is going to put a cowbell on me because I keep sneaking up on him. He also says you can never have enough cowbell? Old people, I will never understand them! We would have gone swimming, but there is a big noisy boat looking thing right in front of the cabin today. Hopefully it will move soon. I did get to put my paws and muzzle in the lake the first day and met some fish. I have found that water soaked sticks are more to my liking than boring dry sticks, but again Marc took my soggy sticks away. He has so many RULES!!!!!! I have found the best poop place. When we hike up the mountain, right at the top seems to be the spot!!! And the sniffs are the best there. Helen says I have the perfect yoga form in my “Down Dog,” and I am not even really trying. Having some trouble going into my crate at night, would rather sleep on their bed. It is filled with water just like the Lake!!!!! Best camp ever!!!!! Be safe Mom and come home soon, miss you.
Loves Always,
Bella

Dear Bella,
What a good girl you are, not complaining about being homesick. I guess it is because Helen and Marc are REALLY good to you! Finding new friends is easy for you so I know you will have fun with campers in other cabins.
Tsk, tsk- eating toilet rolls? That was your baby trick. You’re a big girl now – enough with the cotton balls and cardboard- you’ll hurt your tummy. Ask Uncle Marc for a bully stick and tell him to put it up before it is all chewed.
Night, night, Sweetie. Have fun and the days will fly by.
Love Mum.
A hug for Marc and Helen for being so sweet to you,
