Dear Mom:
Day 3
Seems the lull in inactivity has come to an end. We shoveled snow off the deck so we could feed the birds (stupid birds!), and dug out the camp buses from their snowdrifts in the driveway. We then hauled in loads of wood for the wood stove. Mom, I am so glad you got us gas logs in our fireplace! Marc just keeps adding logs and they disappear! Glad ours just keeps going without so much work. You’d think camp counselors would be smarter!
After hours of work, finally we got to go up the snow mountain. I was very excited to make more snow angels, but I guess I have perfected the art because today we quickly moved on to a “Rescue Helen” exercise. Not sure I approve, but I gave it my best shot. Apparently I was supposed to look the other way, while Helen floundered in the deeper snow. Then I had to run and dig her out. I think they soon realized I was onto them. Now Marc wants to strap a “keg of brew” under my chin like a St. Bernard! Of course, as soon as we got back to camp, they dunked my paws in the sink again! I really have had way too many “baths” this trip!
I’m wrapping this up so I can get it in the internet post, and you can feel my pains. Please come home soon!
Love Always,
Bella
Dear Bella:
Sounds to me like you have had a GREAT time! All those tummy rubs, and sleeping in the grownups bed, and being the leader with your friends.
They were lucky that you showed them your Snow Angel trick – that is a signature move, I am sure. Isn’t Helen a snow angel herself to play “Find Helen” with you.
I am on my way – unless the airport security guys stay home sick cause they aren’t getting paid! Can I join you in saying “stupid government shut-down?”
Love Mum
