Songs of Life

A lasting gift

Pablo Neruda, 1904 – 1973, was a Chilean diplomat and poet. I know him only through his amazing poetry. This podcast is a reading of Pablo Neruda’s essay, “Childhood and Poetry.” Although he writes it as a way to explain “why we make art,” my heart focused on the idea that we are all interconnected and even when we don’t know it, our presence in life can be a gift that connects us to strangers as well as those we know and love intimately.
